Greater Manchester Healthwatch have been awarded the Gold Public Sector Campaign PRide Award as part of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care (GMHSC) Partnership for the #TakingChargeTogether Campaign.
“Healthwatch Salford is determined to ensure that local people are at the heart of Devolution, designing and driving local ambitions. We have been proud to deliver the Taking Charge Campaign as part of this unique partnership between GMCVO, CVS organisations and 10 local Healthwatch. I hope this is the first of many chances for the public, private and voluntary sector to work together to prevent ill health, and enhance the role of individuals and communities.”

Earlier this year we worked with over 37 partner organisations across Greater Manchester to:
- Make more people aware of devolution and what it means
- Find out more about how we can prevent ill health
- Provide a platform for local people and professionals to make a change
More than 50,000 people were made aware of the #TakingChargeTogether campaign the Health and Social Care Partnership website or related materials.
A further 6,500 people were directly engaged through the community roadshow events and focus groups; organised by the voluntary sector organisations, 10 local Healthwatch and Key 103.
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR)* panel who presented the Gold PRide Award said that “the ability to achieve this level of partnership working is significant and deserves to be recognised.”
