Sam Cook - Chief Officer
Sam started as Chief Officer in June 2022 and has worked in the voluntary sector in Salford for a number of years. Prior to joining as Chief Officer, Sam had been a Healthwatch Salford Board member since 2018.
Sam's role is to lead Healthwatch Salford in delivering it's mission to ensure the public's voice is heard and acted upon, thus demonstrating the patient experience informs the decisions made in the system. Sam's role is to lead Healthwatch Salford strategically and operationally, on behalf of the Healthwatch Salford Board.
Sam is a proud Salford resident and has been nearly all her life. She lives here with her two children and two gerbils and her family are close by.
In her spare time, Sam is a lover of all things retro/vintage and enjoys going to the theatre, having tread the boards many years ago in local amateur dramatics.
Elyse Peacock - Knowledge & Support Officer
Elyse is our Knowledge and Support Officer and has worked for Healthwatch Salford since April 2019. In her role Elyse is responsible for the feedback and signposting enquiries we receive, along with leading on the marketing and communications for Healthwatch Salford. Elyse has a keen interest in mental health and is qualified as a Level 5 Counsellor and Psychotherapist. In her spare time Elyse enjoys going for long walks (that end in a cosy pub) with her husband and their very energetic dog, Cedric.
Ali Macleod - Engagement Officer
Ali has been working part-time with Healthwatch Salford since November 2020, during which time she has been working on the following projects: working with Salford City Council on a large project looking at Equipment Services; working with the Northern Care Alliance on a large project looking at Home care services, and working on a project looking at young people’s mental health services. She has also worked on a national project with Healthwatch England on Adult Social Care focussing on putting a face to unmet needs.
Outside of work, Ali is mum to 3 children, one of whom is in a wheelchair, and also helps care for her mum. She is passionate about using lived experience to improve services, and volunteers with the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Bolton, working with student nurses to enable them to understand the patient experience.
In her free time, Ali likes to cycle and to sing, and is a member of a local choir.
