Digital Exclusion project launched by Healthwatch Salford

At Healthwatch Salford, we work with local health and care services to make sure they are working as best they can, influenced by what you tell us.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), there have been many changes to our everyday lives. To help local health and social care providers understand the impact of this, we are undertaking this project exploring potential inequalities surrounding the change to remote healthcare appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic. We recognise that services have had to adapt to new ways of working very quickly, but this means they may not have fully considered the impact of these changes.

How can you get involved and why does your experience matter?

You will be invited to take part in a telephone interview (as we can’t meet you face to face) with a trained and friendly team member from Healthwatch Salford. Your experience will help Healthwatch Salford, Healthwatch England and the NHS to understand the needs of patients who do not use the internet or telephone for appointments. This will help services in your area to make improvements and to consider how services can deliver in the future.

Will my experience be confidential?

All experiences shared remain anonymous.

We want to speak to people who may find it more challenging to access care remotely or virtually and also hear from the professionals who provide care to such people.

If you would like to have a chat with us about your experience please get in touch:
