In June we welcome our new Chief Officer Sam Cook into the staff team. Sam has been with the Healthwatch Salford as a Trustee since 2018 and has extensive experience in the voluntary sector, community engagement and empowerment.

Following feedback received from the public, we want to understand a bit more about patients’ experiences with Salford based GP services (Doctors, Nurses etc) over the last 18 months.

For new arrivals to the UK it can be confusing where to go if you need medical assistance. Here we outline your rights as a refugee, where you can access emergency help and how to register for a GP.

In January we invited people to share their views on what priorities we should focus on and following this recent review, it has been agreed that the key priorities include mental health services, GP services and care homes.

Health issues unfortunately don't leave us alone at the weekend and people are often in need of medical assistance out of hours. Using NHS guidelines, we have provided some advice and information on where you can go for help when your GP is closed.

Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has been ranked number one in a national survey of NHS organisations, with 95% of staff recommending it as a place to work.
