    From 1 December 2020, NHS England launched a campaign called NHS 111 First. This campaign encourages the public to call NHS 111 before attending A&E or seeking urgent medical care, to ensure they are directed to the most appropriate service.

    In January we invited people to share their views on what priorities we should focus on and following this recent review, it has been agreed that the key priorities include mental health services, GP services and care homes.

    In June we welcome our new Chief Officer Sam Cook into the staff team. Sam has been with the Healthwatch Salford as a Trustee since 2018 and has extensive experience in the voluntary sector, community engagement and empowerment.
